Linda	Katherine

A mother and daughter team, this family business was established in 1978 by Linda. Linda has training in haute couture dress design. I graduated from the University of Cape Town with a BA(Fine Art) degree and a serious sensitivity to solvents in 1989. For four years in the early nineties, a younger sister Eva was also a partner.

1992 was the beginning of our fabric painting business. For years we hand painted mainly T-shirts with occasional orders of other items. Our designs were based on fairies, goblins and dolphins.

Started as a way to entertain my nieces, We produced fancy dress costumes. The fancy dress costumes were based on designs developed by Linda and Eva. Linda now supplies people all over the world with her range of fairy dresses & flower girl, christening & bridesmaid dresses.

At the end of 2000 a decision was made to diversify our product line and to cut down on attending markets and then to stop going altogether.

Linda discovered hand made paper and developed a fascination with the range of techniques. She also discovered that she could draw. By the end of 2001 we were producing fairy designs from our hand drawn original artworks. Linda drew and I painted. The artwork was transformed into a variety of items. Our artwork & range of hand made paper is included into our fairy cards or made into cards and envelopes suitable for gifts or wedding invitations.

We have further diversified the range to include cats & horses. I now do most of the artwork as Linda concentrates on her dresses. We have expanded the range to include a range of decoupage scraps suitable for a wide range of decoupage items.
